A word from our clients
South from the bustling suburbs of Surfers and Broadbeach lies the family friendly suburb of Burleigh Heads. Known for its laid back atmosphere, Burleigh is home to the Gold Coast’s best beaches, stacks of family friendly areas including local markets, BBQ and picnic areas along the beachfront promenade, and a beautiful national park with walking trails.
The beachy and relaxed environment is one that is much loved by locals in general as well as those who call Burleigh home, making it a very popular weekend and holiday spot. Stretching from the Miami Headland to Tallebudgera, Burleigh was recently honoured as the Gold Coast’s best beach in 2012, however due to “The Point”, Burleigh has always been a popular surfing destination, and is even home to the Burleigh Breaka Pro surfing champs.
The heart of Burleigh Heads is popular James Street, a village centre featuring retail stores, trendy cafes and restaurants, with a couple of quaint arcades, including the former cinema. More comprehensive retail and commercial facilities can be found two kilometres to the west at the Burleigh Town Marketplace and Treetops Shopping Centre.
During the early mornings you will generally find locals walking along the beach, fishing, surfing, out on their paddleboards or enjoying breakfast at one of the many quirky local cafes. The outdoor lifestyle that Gold Coasters love is most apparent in Burleigh Heads. The area has a number of sporting clubs including two surf lifesaving clubs, also state schools and the private Marymount College. In the hills just west of the CBD is the David Fleay Wildlife Park, where visitors can view and learn about Australia’s flora and fauna in natural rainforest surroundings.
Burleigh Heads real estate offers a wide variety of dwellings. Predominantly residential in nature, Burleigh Heads real estate can be a luxury beachside apartment, low-rise unit in a suburban street, or housing ranging from older style homes to new and renovated properties. Close to the beach residents can enjoy a water outlook, while spectacular ocean and coastal views are available from prestige properties on the hill behind the headland. On the other side of this rise, just to the west of the town centre, Burleigh Waters offers newer lake and canal-front living with ocean boating access.
